Moa Milking & Pumping Ltd has a long history of delivering excellence in the dairy and agricultural industry. Those who have dealt with Moa Milking and Pumping know that the staff are focused on delivering cost effective solutions for your farm, within time frames that keep your business operating.
Owner Nathan Hitchcock has worked within the dairy industry, in various roles, since 1998 where he started work for Eric Young Farm Services; a local Waikato Milking Services Dealership, where he learnt his trade and gained a diploma in Agricultural Engineering via Massey University. In 2003 he ventured to the UK for his OE. To fund his travels he worked for Waikato Milking Systems, (WMS), installing milking plants throughout Wales, Scotland and England. While overseas, Waikato Milking Systems approached Nathan to establish a new dealership in the Inglewood, Taranaki area. So upon his return in 2005, Nathan opened Moa Milking and Pumping. After a successful relationship operating within Taranaki, Waikato Milking Systems presented Nathan with the opportunity to fit their rotary platforms for the lower North Island in 2009. This led to the introduction of Moa Rotary Platforms with Nathan securing the rights to install and service all of Waikato Milking System platforms for the entire North Island.
As a result in 2012 we opened a workshop in Matamata, Waikato; and this is where the team who install and service Waikato Milking Systems Rotary Platforms base themselves.
In August 2013 there was a devastating fire that completely destroyed the Moa Milking & Pumping Inglewood premises. With staff operating from the back sheds and a portable office, the unwavering support from our clients was greatly appreciated. The following year , the new purpose built offices and workshop were proudly unveiled.
Since then the company has continued to evolve and now employs a large team of staff to service their ever growing client base.
