Progressing Cavity Pumps

Mono Progressing Cavity (PC) Pumps have the ability to produce consistent pressure and volume over greater distances and lift than standard Dairy Effluent pumps.

They do all this whilst using a lot less power which has made them extremely valuable in addressing certain design challenges.

Their low power usage also enables farmers who have power supply issues to gain more pressure and performance from their Dairy Effluent system, without a costly upgrade of their power supply.

Designed with the safety of the operator in mind

• Shore based meaning no one needs to go out on the pond to maintain them.
• No exposed moving parts.
• Can be fitted with a flow switch and a high or low pressure switch to control pressure, to help prevent pipes or fittings from bursting.

Designed with the environment in mind

• Pumps a very consistent volume over the irrigation area, meaning that when matched with the correct irrigation equipment it should make it easier to avoid ponding and runoff and to deliver even and consistent depths of nutrients across the paddocks.

• Can be fitted with a flow switch and a high or low pressure switch to help prevent environmental accidents.

• Low power usage, compared to other pumps, eliminates the need to upgrade power supply and reduces running costs.

Features

  • Low power usage can help to eliminate the need to upgrade power supply to increase pumping performance
  • High pressure/ long haul pumping can offer considerable project cost savings by utilising small bore pipe work and eliminating the need for a series of pumps, when pumping over long distances or with high head requirement
  • High efficiency pump with low absorbed power (by as much as 75% lower compared to a centrifugal pump)
  • Solids handling of up to 10mm diameter

Optional Extras

  • Delivers consistent pressure at every hydrant, enabling the depths of the Dairy Effluent to be accurately applied onto pasture
  • Surface mounted option making it easier, cleaner and less hazardous for maintenance
  • Ease of maintenance – Installing or dismantling on site, no need to send pump away for repair, reducing downtime
  • It can be mounted vertically on a pontoon if required
  • Low running speeds reduce wear for a longer working pump life, which extends the period between routine maintenance
